Manchester Health Academy – Opening Doors to any course, any job, anywhere.

We passionately believe that all students can be successful if they show real effort and determination to do their best.  Aspiration is one of our core principles and this includes having high expectations of our students academically.  Good examination results will prepare students to move on to further and higher education, including university and a successful career.

Individual Careers Advice

Careers advice is provided for students by Lisa Hutchinson BA (Hons) DipCG PG Counselling & Psychotherapy.

Lisa works at Manchester Health Academy on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays in term time.  She is based in our dedicated Careers Room, situated on Sykes floor (middle), opposite the Attendance Office. Lisa spends up to an hour with each student in Years 10 and 11 (and Year 8 if required) to help them examine their own skills, ambitions and interests and work towards making a career plan.  Lisa will review and assess the impact of our careers programme every 6 months, and annually with a end of year questionnaire.
