Three members of our team, Miss Woods, Miss Warren and Miss Bleasedale will be running in the MUFC 5k Santa Run to raise funds for the Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital, particularly for Ward 84 who looked after our much-missed late student Jack Norfolk, and for the Time Save Lives Helipad Appeal.

Manchester Health Academy Girls Football Tournament will take place on Thursday 8th October for Years 7, 8 & 9 and Thursday 15th October for years 10, 11 & 6th Form. Teams can be mixed, just turn up and play!
This event is part of Girl’s Football Week which will take place on the 5th – 11th October this year.
In 2014, more than 2,000 people took part in the sessions across 80 institutions. It is aimed that this year, 5,000 girls and women will play football during the week.
Women’s football is the largest female team sport in the country and the third largest team sport after men’s football and cricket.
There will be an information evening for parents/carers of students who will be returning to Year 11 in September, the evening will be held on Thursday 17th September 2015, 6pm – 7pm.
IF YOU ARE THE PARENT/CARER OF A YEAR 11 STUDENT IT IS CRUCIAL THAT YOU ATTEND. If you are unable to attend please contact the Academy to make alternative arrangements.

Congratulations to our Year 11 football squad who emphatically won the Citywide Playoff Final last night, beating Trinity High School 4-1 at East Manchester Academy’s ground. Two goals were scored by Jack Earlam, plus one each by Bradley Carter and Sean Marco. Each member of the team played their part in the victory, with outstanding performances by Connor T, Bailey R, Connor D, Jerry McD and Sam M. Well done!
